Top 10 Favorite Fall Activities
There is nothing quite like fall! The crisp cool air, beautiful fall foliage, pumpkin spice and apple cider drinks, and cozy sweaters and boots are just some of our favorite fall things! We love fall here at Lily Boutique and we have put together a top ten list of our favorite things to do with our family and friends in this beautiful season!
1. Visit a Pumpkin Patch
One of the most popular and fun fall activities is going to your local pumpkin patch. Picking the right pumpkin or pumpkins is always a great way to kick off fall and a simple way to decorate your home for this favorite season. Bringing them home is the fun part, whether you want to carve a jack-o-lantern, paint them with a cute monogram, or just set them around for decoration; let your creativity run with clever and unique ideas!
2. Go On a Hayride
You are never too old to enjoy a hay ride! Gather a group of friends and take off on a crisp fall night in a hay filled trailer! Listen to great music and snuggle under oversized fleece blankets, while sipping on hot apple cider and pumpkin spice drinks!
3. Apple Picking
Who doesn’t love fresh picked apples!? Going to an orchard and picking your favorite apples is a great way to spend a fall day. The best part is bringing home your bounty and making all your favorite apple recipes (caramel apples, apple crisp, etc.).
4. Go To a Corn Maze
Corn mazes are so much fun and make for a fun date night or night with friends! Turn the night into a corn themed evening with corn chowder, corn on the cob, corn casserole and of course candy corn!
5. Visit a Haunted House
Face your fears and visit a scary haunted house this fall with friends! Haunted houses are a perfect way to make great memories and fun stories of being scared to death!
6. Make S’mores
Have an outdoor bon-fire and roast some marshmallows to make your perfect s’mores dessert! If you are not able to have an outside fire, make s’mores in your living room over a candle for a cozy indoor fall night!
7. Stargazing
Take advantage of a clear and cool fall night and enjoy the stars! Google the different stars and planets that are visible during the fall months and enjoy searching for them cuddled up with a special someone!
8. Take an Autumn Drive or Hike
Go on a long country drive and enjoy the beautiful fall foliage! You can even drive to a national or state park and enjoy their hiking trails. Take a beautiful hike for some great exercise and fresh air!
9. Host a Scary Movie Night
Call all your friends and invite them over for a night filled of old-fashioned scary movies! Get all you and your friends favorite scary movies and snacks for a scary night of fun! Take it a step further and set up an outdoor theater and watch frightening movies under a full moon!
10. Fall Shopping
